For almost two decades Staff of Life Bread Company has been serving authentic, delicious, artisan bread to the Valley. In 2019 Amy formed Shenandoah Bakery LLC in order to acquire Staff of Life Bread Company. We continue to make the high quality products you have come to love.
Our bakery is for making bread with online order pick-ups available. Staff of Life Bread does not offer a traditional retail store experience, but we love to see our customers at pick-up time and at the Farmers Markets in Leesburg and Harrisonburg, VA.
Our friends at Friendly City Food Co-Op, also in Harrisonburg, carry an assortment of our breads with varieties rotating every week.

You can buy bread at any store....why buy from Staff of Life Bread?
The non-bromated flours, sourdoughs made in house, fresh herbs, fruits and nuts, eggs and dairy, special grain mixes and seed blends are why we are special, plus, NO PRESERVATIVES!!
No preservatives mean that our breads should be eaten upon purchase. If not consumed with in 2-3 days, please consider freezing your breads, double wrapped for freshness, until you are ready for more. We understand customers can get carried away with our delicious offerings and buy more than they can consume in the 2-3 days! This is called "bread buyers remorse" and is common among our newer Bread Fans. Thankfully, our breads freeze so well, you may never know that they have been frozen once they are thawed.
Staff of Life Breads are available at the Friendly City Food Co-op Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons.
Staff of Life Breads are currently available Saturday mornings at the Harrisonburg Farmer's Market, Leesburg Farmer's Market, and offers curbside order pick-ups at the Bakery.

Saturday pick-up at the bakery is from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon. Winter Wednesday evenings pick-up are 4-6 pm, mid-January thru March.
